No Pride In One's Voice

My friend wrote to a voice actor; and she was pretty much ignored. Her OC Abigail holds the letter to her forehead with a huge grimace of frustration for this insult. Toothpick stands beside her feeling equal frustration and offers his hand on her shoulder.

This is a fear I have with voices behind characters I like. Suppose the actors who voiced them didn't really like their roles at all and seem to intentionally blow off their fans. If you have no pride in the character you do the voice for; why even voice them? why spend time giving them a voice when someone else can do it; for much cheaper I might add.

I understand how you feel Verona. We want the voice actor or actress behind the character we like to get as much into the role as we do so we feel a part of that character is given more life because the actor cares. If not then a bit of the magic is taken away.
I sometimes wonder how Grey DeLisle (voice actress of Kitty Katswell and Carmelita Fox) feels sometimes about her roles. She's a professional and talented lady. Voice acting is her main line of work and she seems to do them really well. I can only hope she enjoys them to give the characters more life.

My point is if you're a professional and well known voice actor/actress...you got to expect fans. You give life to these characters because their voices are crucial to their design and personality. If you don't take pride in it or just don't wanna care or talk about it; give the role to someone who actually does care.

That's my philosophy anyway. I mean yeah; you guys should definitely be paid to lend your voices. Just don't it for the money though.
