This week I actually worked on a commission for my employer at Public Cable Television where I currently work as a Master Control Operator.
Beleive it or not; he actually commissioned me. XD Yes; outside the internet I am recieving commissions. He saw some of my work when I came back from CaliFur and was very impressed. So he commissioned me to do two Star Wars related pictures for his two son's birthdays. They celebrate their birthdays this weekend and I got them finished yesterday just in time.
This is the 'Villains' picture I worked on. It features major villains i nthe Star Wars universe; Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine, Boba Fett, Darth Maul, count Dooku and General Grievous. There are two bounty hunters near Boba Fett; I chose IG-88 and Zuckuss for whatever reason. XD I think Dengar or Bossk might've been better choices. And come to think of it; perhaps I shoulda chose storm troopers instead.
Well that's OK; cause they are right next t othe character I feel I best protrayed in the picture; Boba Fett. I love that pose I got him in. I really went to town on perspective for this one. And I beleive he rendered quite nicely.
Darth Vader and Darth Maul look pretty sweet too. I love their poses. =-D Grievous is i na menacing pose as I wanted it; but sometimes I feel I made him too squatty and short. I know he's supposed to be crouching; but I think I may have doen somethign wrong with his body. County Dooku coulda came out better too.
Emperor Palpatine with all those wrinkles was also fun. XD I loved how I captured that 'Force Lightning' effect. for the lightning and the lightsabers; this was als oa grand experiment in Photoshop capabailities. I think I discovered many things with this project; things I intend to transfer to my other works.
This was a lot of fun. I liekd how all the villains turned out. Stay tuned for part 2: the Star Wars Heroes.
