Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

It's Valentine's Day
You might start feeling sad.
But cheer up and smile
Cause Life's not so bad.

Now some of you know very well
What damage love can do.
So now is the time to leave it
And focus more on you.

It don't matter if you've never loved
Or if you've been replaced.
Your heading down the right path
Your life's not a total waste.

All that romantic stuff in movies and songs
Try clearing them from your head.
Because love can totally blind you
To the real problems that lie ahead.

Don't dwell on sorrow, dwell on joy
And be who you want to be.
Never think of the one you wanted
Because then you're never free.

We got so many choices in life
And we live on how we choose.
So even if you got no one now
That doesn't mean you lose.

Someday there will be someone
And love will finally come.
But for now just enjoy your life
